A Bit About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog Teaching + Learning. As this is my very first blog post, I thought I might write a few lines about myself.

My name is Juliet and I am in my final semester of a Masters of Teaching. I have an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English Literature and History. I absolutely love books; my favourite thing to read right now is contemporary literary fiction, or else I might pick up some poetry, a classic, or a non-fiction history book.

I am coming into teaching quite late as it took me a while to figure out that this is where my passion lies. I absolutely love the young people I have met, both at work as a teacher aide, and on all of my placements so far. These teens are so much fun, so bold, and just an incredibly diverse and interesting bunch of people. I can't think of any better career than getting to spend time with them every day and helping them navigate the world around them.
